"Desert Moon" being picked up from Morston Quay in Norfolk.
An offshore 105 originally built in January 1997 by Port Isaac workboats in Wadebridge. She was built for the late John Martin. A diver and sucsessful buisness owner he went on to own half of the boat building buisness after placing his order. she was completed in April 97 and was fitted originally with a Catipillar 3126 engine.
She proved herself as a very capable vessel carrying out plenty of diving and associated survey work. The 105 is a well-proven vessel on our North Cornwall coast with a good-sized deck and able to reach a very respectable 24 knots. At 10.5m lenght, 3.5 beam and with a draught of only 1m she is well suited to the tidal harbours and esteries.
She is now fitted with a dive lift and a larger Cummings 8.3-litre engine producing 580hp. this substantial and very well-proven engine helps her maintain a very good cruising speed even when loaded up with heavy dive equipment. We will be modernising the vessel just a little ready for her to carry on her diving legacy on our North and South Cornish coast.
Inside seating and a removable table for lunch out on the water.
Hot water from our boiler provides endless hot drinks and could be argued as more essential than your actual diving gear!.
